If you update and/or download data from Dial Data, the
STOCK files you created MAY have OPEN price in them. All stock
data from Dial Data can include the OPEN price. Therefore, you
should consider creating new files with the Database Management
section of the program--if you want OPEN price.
There is no way to modify any files that you currently have.
Commodities/futures data will have the open price if you down-
load from Warner or Dial Data. Switching between the two data
services can cause a problem in that the symbols/tickers might be
different.
If you download/update commodities it is always recommended that
you use the Multiple Day Quote so that the correct Volume and Open
Interest will be added to your files. This is recommended even though
you only need one day of data.
The commodity file name is made up of the one or two letter
commodity symbol, followed by the contract month and year (MMYY), and
then the price factor. If it is a negative price factor,
be sure to include the minus sign, e.g. TR0992-5 for Sep T-Bonds.
